PA Convention Center (1101 Arch Street)

Website + Interactive Floor Plans + Various reources that can be downloaded

Neighborhood: Just south of city hall and north of Chinatown. Right across the street from the amaizing Reading Terminal Market. Public trans close by, lots of hotels and lots of paid parking garages in the walkable area.

The venue:  Not technically a new building, but well maintained, lots of windows, very high ceilings. It just has a pretty standard convention hall/meeting room feel to it.

They regularly hold very large events, including high-profile politicians, and have dealt with secret service requirements many times.

The Registration area is a good size and we could fit 4-5 tables. Depending on the number of laptops needed, we may need to bring some additional power ($ extra charge)

Decor: Can use Cling or Vinyl for the walls. Can't secure anything into the walls. In the hallway, there are so many doors and windows I don't see much space for wall decor. Free-standing signage is probably the way to go.  There are monitors outside of each room - we can provide the digital graphics/content for each of this (minimal extra $)

Stage comes in 4x8 blocks and can be done at any height. Most common size they setup for this space is 24x30. They do NOT provide "fancy" furniture for the stage. They provide the standard chairs (blue one you can see in various video/photos) but we would have to rent/bring in nice chairs or couches as we think is needed for the panelists.

They provide pipe&drap for behind and around the stage.  They do NOT provide pipe&drape for any back of house needs (ex: around AV in the back of hall)

They provide 2 screens on each side of the stage. The one downfall is the two big pillars in the middle of this space. They say the 2 monitors are positioned to account for anyone that may have an obtructed view b/c of them. See set they sent. They also have a CAD artist that will create the room renderings and setup as we move further down the line

Partners area: It is a union shop, so anything that partners can personally bring in via their car and carry in via regular door is good, and does not have to adhere to union rules.

There are 32 bathrooms (for each gender) across 3 rooms in this space. They will to periodic refreshes during the event.

View of entrance attendees would come in from 13th and Arch.

F&B or Parter room

These are the standard chairs provided. We would have to bring anything nicer for the stage.
