Ivette Izea-Martinez is a passionate advocate and leader with a strong background in empowering the Latine and BIPOC community within the 7-county metro area in Minnesota.
Originally from Venezuela, she moved to the US at 16, dedicating herself to social justice and community welfare. With a focus on eliminating gender-based violence, empowering women, combating racism, and promoting youth leadership and BIPOC family wellbeing, Ivette has made significant contributions through her work at organizations like Esperanza United and YWCA St. Paul.
Currently serving as the Director of Community Impact and Program Strategy at YWCA St. Paul, Ivette continues to drive positive change. Recognizing her impact, Governor Tim Walz appointed her to the Minnesota Council on Latino Affairs and the Health Equity Advisory and Leadership (HEAL) Council, highlighting her as a leader and advocate for social change.
